Delhi Ladli Yojana was launched on 1 January 2008 by the Women and Child Development Department of the Delhi Government. The aim of this scheme was to increase the birth rate of girls in the country’s capital Delhi. Also, the aim was to encourage more and more girls to get educated. State Bank Life Insurance Company Limited is the fund manager of this scheme. Under this scheme, money is deposited in the girl’s account by the government in different stages from the birth of the girl till she passes 12th. When the girl is 18 years old and if she passes 10th, then this amount is given to her along with interest. On the birth of the girl, Rs. 11,000 (if she is born at home then Rs. 10,000) is deposited in her account. After this, Rs. 5000 each is deposited when she reaches 1st, 6th, 9th, 11th and 12th class.

What are the benefits of Delhi Ladli Yojana
Under the Delhi Ladli Yojana, money will be deposited in the girl’s account by the government in different phases. When she turns 18, about Rs 35,000 will be deposited in her account by the government, which she will get along with interest.
What is the eligibility for Delhi Ladli Yojana
- The daughter must be born in Delhi and her birth certificate must be issued by the Registrar or MCD/NDMC
- The applicant should be a permanent citizen of Delhi for at least 3 years at the time of birth of the daughter.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 1,00,000.
- If the application is being made for a school going daughter, then her school should be recognised by Delhi Government/MCD/NDMC.

- Now go to the Citizen Corner section and click on New User
- Select Aadhaar Card in Documents, enter Aadhaar number below

- Tick the Declaration below and click on the Continue button
- After this you will have to fill your details in the registration form.

- Now go to the Apply Online section and click on Apply for Service
- Click on Apply for Ladli Yojana from the Women & Child Development Department section.

How to apply offline for Delhi Ladli Yojana
For this scheme, you can also get the application form from the Women and Child Development District Office, Delhi Government Office or Government School . The applicant has to fill the complete form and submit it to the nearest district office. If you are registering for this scheme after the girl child goes to school, then the form has to be submitted within 90 days of admission. If you want to register from birth, then the form has to be submitted within 90 days of birth.
