Rajasthan Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2024: Objective, Benefits, Eligibility, Documents, Application Process, Application Status Check

The Rajasthan government has started an important scheme to provide free pilgrimage to holy places to senior citizens. Its name is Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme. Through this scheme, the state government is providing free travel facility to the elderly people of the state above the age of 60 years. The pilgrimage scheme has recently been started by Mrs. Shakuntala Rawat, Minister of Devasthan Department of Rajasthan State Government. In which 30000 citizens will be provided free pilgrimage to holy places every year. More than 20 thousand citizens will be given the benefit of pilgrimage by the state government. All those people will be provided pilgrimage by trains and airplanes. By getting the benefit of this scheme, all the elderly citizens of the state will be able to do free pilgrimage through this scheme.

Objectives of the Scheme

The objective of the Tirtha Yojana of the state government is to provide government facilities and assistance to senior citizens of the state (people above 60 years of age) to facilitate their travel to any one of the pilgrimage places specified by the department outside the country once in their lifetime. 20000 citizens will be provided pilgrimage through this scheme. In which 18000 elderly people will be provided the facility of pilgrimage through rail. While 2000 passengers will be given the benefit of traveling to pilgrimage places through air travel.

Eligibility for the scheme

  • Only native residents of Rajasthan can avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • The eligible person for this scheme should be above 60 years of age.
  • The applicant should not have any kind of income tax source.
  • Apart from this, the applicant must be mentally capable and able to undertake the journey.
  • The applicant must have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Benefits of the scheme

  • Through this scheme, the state government will make proper arrangements for senior citizens to visit pilgrimage sites like food, refreshments, accommodation etc.
  • The benefit of this scheme will be given to people above 60 years of age.
  • Senior citizens above 60 years of age can visit the teeth site for free.
  • In which 18 thousand elderly people will be provided the facility of pilgrimage through rail.
  • The passengers will be provided facilities by the state government during the journey. This also includes the presence of a medical officer and two nursing staff for passenger safety during the journey.

Application process for Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme

  • You will have to visit the official website of Devasthan , edevasthan.rajasthan.gov.in .
  • Use the “Rajasthan Pilgrimage Scheme Apply Online” option on the homepage.
  • After this, the homepage of the website will open in front of you.

  • After that you will have to enter your Aadhar number and click on search.
  • In this, you have to select 3 pilgrimage sites of your choice in order of priority.
  • After filling all the required information click on “sumbit” to complete your registration.

How to check the status of the plan

  • To fill the form of this scheme through Emitra, first of all we have to login to SSO ID.
  • After logging in with SSO ID, go to the search option and search for Devasthan.
  • After this, the home page of the official website of the Devasthan department will open in which you will start the form with Jan Aadhar Card.
  • After the form opens, you can submit your application by filling in all the general information asked from you.
