CM Kanyadan Yojana is a state sponsored scheme. Which is being operated by the Government of Rajasthan. Through this scheme, financial assistance will be given by the government in the marriage of girls of such families of the state whose financial condition is poor. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided on the marriage of girls above 18 years. The amount given under the scheme is called Hathlewa amount . Through this scheme, the aim is to reduce female infanticide, child marriage and dowry system in the state. The amount given through this scheme will be given financial assistance ranging from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000 for marriage. The work of CM Kanyadan Yojana will be done by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. CM Kanyadan Yojana is also known as Kanya Shadi Sahayog Yojana. The amount provided under the Kanya Shadi Sahayog Yojana will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary. Only two girls of a family will get the benefit of the grant amount.

Objective of Rajasthan Kanya Vivah Sahayata Yojana
The objective of Rajasthan Kanya Vivah Sahayog Yojana is to provide financial assistance in the marriage of daughters of poor families, so that poor families can marry their daughters well without any hassle and problem. Many families are worried about their daughters and promote child marriage. Poor families have to go through many problems. In view of all these problems, the Rajasthan government started the Kanya Vivah Sahayog Yojana. Financial assistance ranging from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000 is being provided for the marriage of daughters of poor families.
Benefits and features of the scheme
- Only native residents of Rajasthan can apply in Rajasthan Kanya Shaadi Yojana.
- In this, the age of the girl should be more than 18 years. This includes daughters of families falling under BPL category of Scheduled Caste/Tribe, Other Backward Classes, EWS classes.
- To implement this scheme, a committee will be formed under the leadership of the District Officer. The work will be done under his direction.

- The funds will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account to receive the amount.
- Only two daughters of a family will get the benefit of this scheme and this scheme will be beneficial only if the marriage takes place with the consent of the parents and guardians.
- The annual income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 50,000.
