LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme has been started by Life Insurance Corporation of India. This scheme has been started for the students who complete 10th or 12th and do not have money for further studies. Life Insurance Corporation of India has started this scheme for them. Under this scheme, students will be provided annual scholarship of Rs 15 thousand to 40 thousand. Two types of scholarships will be available under this scheme, first General Scholarship and the second is Special Scholarship for Girl Child. Through General Scholarship, inter pass students will be given scholarship for different types of courses. Through Special Scholarship for Girl Child, girls will get scholarship for further studies after passing 10th.
Objective of the scheme
The aim of the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial help to meritorious students from economically backward families in their education. Especially those students who are not able to continue their studies due to the financial condition of their family.

Benefits of the scheme
- The benefit of this scheme will be given to those students who have passed 10th and 12th class. They can get scholarship of 15 thousand to 40 thousand rupees annually through this scheme.
- Students who want to pursue higher education in the field of medicine will be given a scholarship of Rs 40,000/- per year. This amount will be given to them in three installments. The first and second installments will be Rs 12,000 and the third installment will be Rs 16,000.
- Students who want to pursue higher education in the field of engineering will get an amount of Rs 30,000 per year in three installments. In this, the first and second installments will be of 9 thousand and the third installment will be of 12 thousand rupees.
- Apart from this, students pursuing graduation in any subject, integrated course, diploma course in any field or other equivalent course will be provided an amount of Rs 20,000/- per year. In this, the first and second installment will be of Rs 6 thousand and the third installment will be of Rs 8 thousand.
- Under the Special Scholarship For Girl Child Scheme, Rs 15,000/- per year will be provided to the girl students after 10th class for pursuing higher education in Intermediate/10+2 Pattern/Vocational or Diploma courses. In this, the first and second installments will be of Rs 4500 and the third installment will be of Rs 6000.
Eligibility for the scheme
- The benefit of this scholarship will be given to unemployed resident students of India.
- The income of the student’s family should be less than five lakhs.
- The student must have passed class 10th and 12th with minimum 60% marks.
- Only those students who want to continue their studies after 12th can apply for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship.

Terms and Conditions of the Scheme
- LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 will be awarded to students who have secured at least 60% or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and whose parents/guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2,50,000.
- In case of a tie in terms of percentage of marks, priority will be given to students whose parents’ income is lower.
- Candidates who get lateral entry into the second year of engineering degree courses after completion of Diploma or take regular admission into the first year of engineering degree courses will be eligible for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship, provided they have passed the Diploma with 60% in the previous academic year.
- Candidates who change their stream after being selected for the scheme. The duration of the course is longer than the stream for which the student has been selected. Such students will continue to receive scholarship only for the period for which they were originally selected. If the candidate switches to a stream of shorter duration, the scholarship will be given for the duration of the stream of shorter duration.
- Candidates who are pursuing course under any stream through correspondence or part-time, private candidates will not be eligible for this scheme.
- Candidates who have passed class XII (Vocational) and studying in any stream approved under Scholarship Scheme 2023 will be considered for this scheme.
- Candidates pursuing graduation in professional stream must have secured more than 55% marks in his/her previous final examination and 50% marks or equivalent grade in Arts/Science/Commerce, failing which the scholarship will be stopped for subsequent years.
- Candidates selected under the ‘Special Girl Child’ category must have secured 50% marks in class 11th to continue with LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship for the next year.
- Only one student in a family will get the benefit of this scheme.
- Students must be regular in attendance for which the criteria will be decided by the competent authority of the School/College/University.
- Income certificate on the basis of self-certification through an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper for self-employed parents and document supported by the employer for employed parents like land in the name of parents.
- If a student violates any of the terms and conditions of the scholarship, the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
- Out of the selected candidates, selection of twenty students under Regular Scholarship Scheme and ten girl students under Girl Scholarship Scheme will be done on the basis of merit and qualification by the Divisional Office.
- The scholarship amount will be transferred to the bank account of the selected student through NEFT.
- If the candidate is selected for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025, then bank account details and copy of cancelled cheque with IFSC code and beneficiary name is mandatory.
- The bank account to which the amount is to be transferred must be active and if it is inactive, it must be activated before providing the details.
