Haryana government has started a new scheme for the marriage of daughters. Its name is Haryana Kanyadan and Shadi Sahayata Yojana. A state level workers awareness and felicitation ceremony was organized in Jind to give the benefit of various welfare schemes being run by the Haryana government in the interest of the workers of the state. Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was present as the chief guest in this ceremony. During this, Chief Minister Saini inaugurated 18 welfare schemes, one of which is Haryana Kanyadan and Shadi Sahayata Yojana.
What is Haryana Kanyadan Yojana
Through this scheme, the registered workers of the state will be given financial assistance of 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees for the marriage of their daughter. Only the workers registered in the Labor Welfare Board of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. Haryana Kanyadan and Shadi Sahayata Yojana will be operated by the Haryana government. Under this scheme, 75 percent of the assistance amount given to the workers registered in the board for the marriage of their daughter will be given 3 days in advance. This means that an amount of 75000 rupees will be given three days before the daughter’s marriage. So that they can take advantage of this scheme.
Objective of the scheme
The objective of this scheme started by the Haryana government is to provide financial assistance for the marriage of the daughter of the workers of the state. So that they can get their daughter married without any financial problem. Financial assistance of 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees will be provided for the marriage of the daughter. 75 percent of this assistance amount i.e. 75000 rupees will be given to the workers three days before the marriage of the daughter so that they can give Kanyadaan to their daughter. The benefit of this scheme will be available to a maximum of 3 daughters of a family by the Haryana Labor Department. For this, the registered worker should have regular membership for at least one year.

- The worker’s daughter should be 18 years of age or above at the time of marriage.
- Marriage card and application form should be certified by any Gazetted Officer.
- The bride and groom must also receive the legal income of the marriage.
- Beneficiaries can apply in this scheme as Kanyadaan 3 days before the marriage of their daughter.
- It is mandatory for the applicant’s bank account and mobile number to be linked with the Aadhar card.
