Objectives of the Scheme
The main objective of implementing this scheme is to connect girls and women to higher education through distance education. Because there are girls and women in the state who want to get education. But due to various reasons, they cannot go to regular colleges and universities to get education. Due to which they leave their education midway. But now the Rajasthan government will connect girls to higher education through the Girls Distance Education Scheme. This scheme will promote higher education for girls and make their future bright.
Which universities are included in the scheme
Through this scheme, universities and colleges run by the Rajasthan government, besides Vardhman Mahaveer Open University are giving these girls the opportunity to get higher education through distance education. Through this scheme, work is being done to connect more and more universities and colleges to this program. Also, the girl students can study without paying any fees.

- Through this scheme, the Rajasthan government has made provision for 16,000 seats for undergraduate level, 5,300 seats for postgraduate courses, 1,000 seats for diploma courses, 3,000 seats for PG diploma courses and 2,000 seats for certificate courses.
- Under this scheme, the fees charged by the institutions for the education of girls and women will be reimbursed by the government itself.

- The eligible candidates for this scheme are the girls and women of Rajasthan.
- Such girls and women who could not pursue their studies after 12th can apply in this scheme.
- Under the scheme, any girl or woman who wants to pursue graduation, diploma, post-graduation or course can apply.
