PM Vishwakarma Free Sewing Machine Scheme is for those women who want to become self-reliant through their skills. Women can apply under the free sewing machine scheme for sewing work. The government will provide financial assistance of up to Rs 15000 to those women to buy the machine. Women will also be provided training on sewing machines. Under this scheme, women from more than 50,000 labour families in each state will be given free sewing machines.

Benefits of the scheme
- Financial assistance: Under this scheme, women get financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to buy sewing machines.
- Free training: Before getting a sewing machine, women are given free training to learn the intricacies of sewing. The duration of the training is 5 to 15 days. During this period, the woman also gets an allowance of Rs 500.
- Loan Facility: After completing the training, if the woman wants to start her own business then she can also take an easy loan of two to three lakh rupees from the government.
