E-Shram Card Allowance is a relief scheme issued for laborers working in the unorganized sector. In this scheme, the government provides an amount of Rs 1000 every month to the e-Shram card holders. This scheme is being operated by both the Central Government and the State Government together. This amount is deposited directly into the beneficiary’s account through DBT. Apart from this, the benefits of government schemes and insurance will also be given, so that the laborers of the country do not have to face financial crisis and they can live their life without any problem.
Purpose of e-Shram Card Allowance
The purpose of e-Shram Card Allowance is to provide financial assistance to the e-Shram Card holders, so that financial crisis can be prevented among the poor population. So that they can fulfill their needs by depending on external assistance. Monthly financial assistance is sent by the government directly to the beneficiary’s account. The central government and the state government want to help the poor people going through financial crisis.

Eligibility for E-Shram Card Allowance Scheme
- You are a citizen of India.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the age must be above 18 years.
- If you work in the manufacturing sector, your project cost should be more than Rs 10 lakh.
- If you work in trade or service sector, your project cost should be more than Rs 5 lakh.
- Apart from this, you must have passed at least class 8th.
- Someone from the applicant’s family should be in a government job.
- E-shram card will be made for the people living below the poverty line.
Benefits of E-Shram Card Allowance Scheme
- E-shram card holders will be given one thousand rupees every month.
- Workers above 60 years of age will be given pension.
- Pregnant women will also be provided assistance.
- Scholarship assistance is provided by the Central Government for the education of children.
- Workers working in the unorganized sector like rickshaw pullers, sweepers, servants, street vendors, fishermen, tailors etc. can get this benefit.

How to apply online for E-Shram Card Allowance Scheme
- First of all you have to open the link of e-Shram Card Allowance Scheme https://eshram.gov.in/.
- After this you have to click on the option of “eShram Registration”.
- After this a web page will appear in front of you, in this you will have to enter your mobile number and captcha.
- After this you will have to click on the option of Send OTP.
- After clicking on Send OTP, OTP will come on your registered mobile, fill it in the box.

- Now your OTP will be verified and the application form for making e-shram card allowance will open.
- After that, fill in whatever details are asked from you. After that, you will have to upload your document
- After that click on submit. Your e-shram card process will be completed.
How to check e-shram card payment status
- First of all you have to visit the official website of e-Shram Card https://eshram.gov.in/ .
- Your officer has to click on the option of “Maintenance Allowance Scheme” given on the home page.
- After this the status page will open. In this you will have to enter the registration mobile.
- After entering, you have to click on submit. After which you will get to see the e-shram card payment status.
